FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What inspires your photography?
Honestly, so many things. I'm most strongly inspired by stories, whether they be from a movie, book, or the subjects I'm photographing. Other photographers and cinematographers work is also always inspiring me - I can't help but admire other creatives work, especially work that evokes emotion.
What's it like shooting with you?
For me, it's not just about the actual session. I try my best to get to know my clients before we even show up to the shoot. Almost everyone I meet claims they're awkward in front of the camera and I get it! It can be super intimidating but I try my best to really break the ice and let who ever is in front of my camera be their true self. Getting to know their story beforehand and letting them know what I'm about and who I am truly helps so much.
Do you provide RAW images?
I do not provide raw images - providing raw images to clients would be the equivalent of a writer handing over a copy of their rough draft to readers. My process takes skill and time, just like any other artist, and upon hiring me you will receive my best work that has been polished and crafted to my style and expertise.
Do you offer free consultations?
I am always open to chatting with you over the phone or zoom! If you would like to book a 30 minute consultation with me simply contact me through my inquiry form and we'll figure out a day and time that works for both of us.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based in San Diego, CA and am always willing to travel! If you want me to photograph your story and you would like me to travel outside of San Diego County I do require a travel fee which would cover the estimated time I would spend traveling to and from you as well as the expected cost of gas/flights.
When and how will we get our photos?
You will receive your photos through a private online photo gallery where you will be able to download and share your entire gallery or individual photos. My turn around time for gallery delivery is listed above in the "pricing" section on this page.
Do you retouch photos?
My editing process does involve natural retouching of skin, baby hairs if they make a wild appearance, and anything in the background that may be distracting to the eye.
